Assistant Professor of Economics

I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Dartmouth.  My research interests are in development economics, political economy and labour economics.  Recent projects study (i) the economic impacts of political dynasties, (ii) the long-run labour market impacts of vocational secondary education, (iii) why voters elect criminal politicians, (iv) how refugee camps during India's Partition affected industrialisation and (v) how the presence of neutral colleagues reduces umpiring bias in cricket.
