Expanding Diversity in Economics (EDE) is a new University of Chicago Summer Institute designed to identify and support talented undergraduate students from a broad range of backgrounds interested in the study of economics. Our goal is to diversify the pool of students majoring in economics, who may go on to a graduate program of study, or a career drawing on this important skill set.

The Sadie Collective


By empowering and equipping Black women in quantitative sciences, The Sadie Collective addresses the pipeline and pathway problem in economics, finance, data science, and public policy through curated content creation, programming, and mentorship.

AEA Summer Program


The American Economics Association Summer Program (AEASP) is a prestigious program that enables students to develop and solidify technical skills in preparation for the rigors of graduate studies. Columbia University Bridge to Ph.D. Program in STEM


The Bridge to the Ph.D. Program in STEM is designed to increase the participation of students from underrepresented groups in Ph.D. programs in STEM disciplines. The Bridge Program is an intensive research, academic, and mentoring experience for post-baccalaureates seeking to strengthen their graduate school applications and to prepare for the transition into Ph.D. programs.
