Want to get involved in economic research, but don’t know where to start? Learn about the DERS application process, ask questions, and mingle with faculty and current scholars.
We invite members of the Dartmouth Classes of 2025 and 2024 to apply to become a Dartmouth Economics Research Scholar (DERS)! This information session will answer all your questions. Pizza will be served!
This DERS program provides additional mentoring and support to students with strong potential in economics research. Additional advising and out-of-class enrichment activities -- dinner discussions, workshops, and peer exchanges -- accelerate and enhance the coursework of participants and enable closer participation with faculty on research projects. Such participation begins with paid assistantships on faculty projects (e.g., by way of the College's Presidential Scholars program), but often evolves into research collaborations with faculty and independent student projects, including senior theses. The program also aims to prepare interested students for graduate studies in economics and related fields.
Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
